car rental Florence

I will be renting a car in Florence from the Borgo Ognassanti site for one day. Do they have a parking lot at that location? We may be returning the car after the location is closed but don't want to have to look for parking in Florence or pay for an extra day. It looks like the location opens at 9:00 a.m. Does anyone know of a way to rent the car earlier other than the night before?

Hi A,

I'd expect the rental agency to have the answers to your questions.

They do not have a parking lot, they have a space inside their facility (like a parking garage of sorts) but if they're closed then you wouldn't be able to park in there. Don't hink you can rent the car any earlier from a location that doesn't open till then. Have you called and talked to someone?

Thanks for your responses. I will be checking with the rental agency but thought someone might have some better knowledge or clues as to what I should ask them.

Ask Autoeurope---it may be that 3 days are the same as 1 day rental. I would drive back to that location--drop at the airport.

I agree - we dropped our car at the airport location and then took taxi back to our apartment in city center. Driving into and out of the center of Florence is not my favorite thing to do - I've done it and I avoid it if at all possible!!
