Car Rental

What would be the best size car for four adults and a four year old in a car seat? Thanks.

How much luggage??

Need that info - makes a big difference. But for that many people in general you will need a large car.

What country???

Hi DC,

A compact will be too small, unless you put the baby in the luggage compartment.

For 4 adults and a car seat you will need a full size car in europe. And even if you don;t have luggage you will have purses, day packs, jackets and all the stuff you need when you travel with small kid. With anything else the 2 people in the back with the car seat will be squashed.

Also -suggest you confirm and reconfirm that you need a car seat - and make sure the company you use is large enough to have them available. (We rented from a center city Paris Avis location and another family was being sent out to the the airport - since only that location had car seats.)

Car seats are required up to 22 kg then booster seats up to age 12/14 in the UK. We will be renting from the airport. Has anyone driven a Vauxhall Zafira?

Thanks.

Hi DC,

That seems to be the right size.

There's a review at http://www.whatcar.co.uk/car-review/...afira-mpv/733/
