Car Hire Spain Less than 1 year UK license
Hi,
I am getting married in Spain next year and was due to have my driving test before lockdown but that's all gone sideways. After extensive research, I can't find a car hire frm that will let me book a car with less than a year on my license. I'm really screwed here as I was need to drive my wife to be and relatives+ wedding things to the berries and will need to drive around seeing things up. Taxi is not really a solution. My fiancée has a license but does not drive and would not be able to drive in Spain. Hers is 5 years old so she qualifies. Is there anyway around this i.e. extra insurance or can I be named as a second driver. Please help me understand what I need to do here as I'm really screwed.

Huh?? You are the OP so OF COURSE you are in exactly the same boat . . . (you first posted more than a year ago so one would think you've now been licensed more than 12 months . . .)

Oh my days... I am in a bit of panic i completely forgot that i had posted that originally. Well no, due to Covid my test was postponed until November so i will have 11 months on my license not 12. I will call a few companies now and see. Thanks for posting, i'd have been waiting for ever not realising i was waiting for my past self to reply. Thanks

Wedding planning can do that to a person. Good luck
