Am going to Fiscardo in Cephalonia and will be looking for good restaurants and any suggestions for day trips.

Cephalonia (Kefalonia) is a beautiful island. I would suggest hiring a car and touring the island and visiting some of the beautiful beaches such as Myrtos and Petani. Also worth visiting are Aghios Georgios castle, Melissani Lake and the Drogarati caves.

We stayed near Argostoli and remember having some good meals at the Captain's Table there. We didn't eat in Fiscardo, so I can't help you there. Also see:

It is also possible to take boat trips to Ithaca.
