Capri - Flora Hotel?

Looking for info on this hotel. We are considering it vs Minerva. Locations are as follows:

Via Occhio Marino - is location of Minerva
Via Federico Serena - is location of Flora, the other hotel we are considering.

Anyone know of or stayed there?

Good to know!

What category room did you have and what floor?

It appears the views are all obstructed with trees (??) Not a major thing, just curious...

I think they have done a bit of remodeling since we were there in 2004. But we had a room on the entrance level (if memory serves it was #11). The room was a good size, with lovely furnishings and a tile floor. It had a very meditteranean feel - and also had a terrace with a view of the ocean.

There were some pine trees set close to the hotel - which did obstruct the view a bit. But not something that bothered me. You can see them on the photographs on their website.

Do you recall if your room was a Superior or a Deluxe?

I dont actually remember.
But after checking their website I would say it was a Superior. I dont recall having a walk-in closet or a Jacuzzi bath - which the Deluxe's have. Also, our terrace was somewhat small. Large enough for both of us to sit out on, but there were just straight-back chairs , not lounge chairs.

We liked our room and were happy with the overall "feel" of the hotel. The service was very good, the room was airy and bright, the breakfast involved tasty pastries and coffees served out on the deck.
When we first arrived, we were scared about the location, because we walked and walked through the town - down a small side street - until finally the hotel. However, after we were there for a bit, we were very happy with the location. It is near enough the main town to walk to - yet is removed and is therefore a bit secluded and quiet. There are also some nice walking roads around the hotel - which lead you out to fabulous views of the coast.

Capri is one of our favorite places! If you have any other questions, I love talking about our trip there!!
