You can drive into "parts" of every town, but every town has a ZTL.

Spoleto is a much larger town than Todi, but not surprisingly that translates to more things to see/do right in Spoleto, more restaurants to walk to, etc. The views from the top of Todi looking east are wonderful.

(You might try to find a trip report someone wrote a few years back about a stay in an apartment near Todi. Whoever it was had a great time and loved Todi. Likewise, one or two others have written about their stays in/near Spoleto.)

There are two drives/areas that we found particularly scenic, although I'm not sure that would be the case in March. SS418 between Spoleto and Acquasparta, and SP451 between Spoleto and Bastardo.

In Todi, there's a parking lot at the bottom of the town on the western side and a funicular up to the town.

We booked a wonderful house near Massa Martana, in between Todi and Spolento. Looks like lots to do in that area.

I wish it could have been on the coast to remind her of Amalfi, but I just didn't see it working into the itinerary, and I think the weather would be more of a question mark for "coastal" activities.

Jean will check out those roads, thanks!
