Can I find Napoleon's bust in Provence?

Hello Fodorites, I am hoping you can offer some advice.....
My 25 year old son is obsessed with Napoleon ( and Caesar and a few others most 25 year olds have never heard of..lol) and would love to purchase a bust of the great man.
As you might imagine, this item is not commonly found in Australian flea markets (!) but we are returning to Provence in a few months and wonder if it is worth keeping an eye out for one there?

I don't mean a genuine $$$$ antique but maybe $1-200 ? Whilst we have visited and enjoyed many Provençal markets before, we have never really been 'antique' shoppers and haven't been looking for this item.

Maybe L'isle sur Le sorge perhaps or am I dreaming? Any advice would be most welcome.
Thanks, oz

I would look for one online, a bust doesn't sound easy to transport in luggage.

Have you seen the military museum in Salon des Provences? I seem to remember a gallery of interesting Napoleonic soldiers' gear while accompanying militaristic sons.

I imagine they might have something like that in the gift shop at Les Invalides in Paris, or the Napoleon museum in Fontainebleau or even perhaps Malmaison. I don't think Napoleon is of any special interest in Provence, though. I wouldn't go to a flea market expecting to find that.

You can buy online from the national museum boutique (who runs the museum at Fontainebleau, I think), they have a mug with Napoleon on it for only 9,50 euro near the top, they also sell some poster for 15 euro

They do have a bust for 190 euro

here's one for only 7 euro, I think it is easier to buy this online than searchign during your trip

Thanks Christina for the links, I like the 190 euro one.
No, we weren't going to the markets specifically to look for this item - more likely we will be going away and just wondered if it was something we may stumble across.
My son is the type who would appreciate a "used" bust rather than an ordered online one, lol.

There are lots of cheap tourist placesa markets around the south of France personally might head for the beaches many more attractive busts then the little corporal on display there.

Just an update for any other Napoleon tragics, we didn't find a bust but today DH and son visited the museum in Salon de Provence and give it a big "thumbs up!" Thanks so much Tarquin for putting us on to it!
Ironically, part of the display is actually in Melbourne at the moment!
