oh, my, onetwo, lol, I guess I don't care, either .. fanning furiously

2nd peek (okay, third), lots of cloth .. a great kilt, perhaps? or it really doesn't matter, eh.

I love guys in kilts. A co-worker wears his occasionally and always just looks nice.

I remember a newspaper article about the relative merits of Mel Gibson and Liam Neeson in kilts after "Braveheart" and "Rob Roy" came out. Talk about spoiled for choice!

I hate to drop this old one, but do you know one way to tell from the kilt to which clan a Scot belongs?

Check under the kilt, and if it is a quarter-pounder, He's a McDonald.

hetismij, my FIL would have an issue with you on the fact that you said the Scots took the pipes to Ulster. He has played the pipes in bands from the 1930's in Belfast through the 80's over here in California and has always told me it was the Irish that gave the Scots the pipes. The Irish war pipes have two drones and the Scots added another drone to their Highland pipes. The traditional Irish color of kilt would be saffron.

As they say, the Irish gave the Scottish the bagpipes...and they still haven't gotten the joke!

Why do bagpipers walk while they play.....A moving target is harder to hit.

Okay, I'll stop now.

Way back in 1996 my son and his bf wore rented kilts to their senior ball. (DS is of Irish descent, BF is Scottish and Irish.). They were the best looking guys there.

Humblebrag.

Wow who needs mini skirts after looking at that guy in the kilt.

Anyway, as I sideline I thought the bagpipes originated in Brittany!

For all of those who love men in kilts:

I posted this on another topic but I'm an advocate of men in kilts.

Purely selfish reasons of course but in the fight to help men find freedom is there really a "selfish reason"? I think not.

There is also a traditional Italian bagpipe, called a zampogna. The bag is usually made from the whole skin of a goat. You can see (and hear) it here:

Kilts are also enjoying a certain popularity here. Last week on an Italian quiz show there was a team of three Italian men all in kilts.
