Camogli

I'm not having much luck finding a hotel in Camogli...The's one 2* and two 4*'s but we'd like something in between 55 euros and 244 euros...maybe they only have 3 hotels? Bobthenavigator? Would you know? Thanks for any help...Mary

Take a look at the Casmona:

www.casmona.com

Haven't stayed there, so can't comment, other than it looks lovely on the website and this is where I was going to stay until my plans changed direction.

What was the two star your found. We stayed at the Hotel Augusta two years ago (www.htlaugusta.com). Can't remember how many stars, it definitly wasn't fancy but it was clean and the location was wonderful - a few steps from the harbor and less than 10 minute walk to the train (which we took to the cinque terre villages). It was 125€ for a quad two summers ago.

Yellow Pages lists 14 hotels in Camogli.

Here's the link:

http://pg.virgilio.it/pg/cgi/pgsearc...p;x=56&y=7

Click on each hotel's link to go to their home page.
Only 5 or 6 have their own websites ...

Hope this helps ...

Steve

We stayed at the Cenobio de Dogi in Camogli last summer, a very nice 4* hotel.

You might want to try to stay in Santa Margarita Ligure, just one train stop away. It has many more hotel selections.

Sorry, do not know hotels on Camogli. We have always stayed in SML and daytripped there. There is more to do in SML--look at Hotel Jolanda for the best 3 star.

Thank you all for your replies...We wanted to be in Camogli for the fireworks and fish fry in May...which is why we chose to stay there rather than SML...has anyone been there at that time? Isabel..the 2* I found was the Augusta. Mary

We stayed at the Hotel Augusta, all rooms have been completely renewed, including floors that have been replaced with wooden "parquet" floors.
All rooms are equipped with in room showers/toilets, TV sets & sat connection, safe box and from this year -on all rooms are equipped with AC system (that's very unusual for a two stars hotel)
CAMOGLI small village, well known worldwide, for its beauties and is also know as the pearl of gulf that is not mistakenly called "Paradiso" (Heaven)
