Calling from Greece to US
I have a MCI prepaid card which costs 67 cents/min from Greece to US.
Is there one that we can buy there that is cheaper? We will be there for 11 days, and may not call at all, so I am hesitant to rent a phone.

I don't know what the per-minute breakdown would be, but you can just buy an OTE phone card at any small store or mini-market and use an OTE public phone to call back to the States. These phone cards can be purchased with different values assigned depending on how many calls you anticipate making, and the phones have a small readout screen that will tell you how fast you'd be using up your card's "units." This could be a good alternative for your particular situation since you're not sure if you will even need to make a call.

I have used OTE cards in the past, and I believe they are available in most shops. You don't have to buy one, of course, unless you intend to make a call, but they do seem to be cheaper than your MCI card. This website may be of help:http://www.athensguide.com/practical...ling-cards.htm.

Hi,
I am not sure an MCI card will work in Greece. Buy the OTE phone cards at the local newspaper stands or store. Tell them you need a phone card for the US. They are so easy to use and resonably priced. I use them and I am an older, not so technically inclined lady.
