Cadiz too windy to sunbathe? Last week of September.

Will Cadiz be too windy to sunbathe laze around the last week of September? This was going to be our beach stop, I can't tell from research if it is in a windy part of the coast, or that is only Tarifa. Thanks
Maimoona

Anyone? please : ) I was avoiding costa del sol as people mentioned it was very touristy, but now am worried that Cadiz might be too windy to sit on the beach for a day!

Cádiz in late September should still be great for beachtime, although it might be windy. http://www.whatcadiz.com/cadiz-beach.html

We're not far from the end of September, and these days are some 85°F. I wouldn't be too worried...

Ok thanks. I knew it will be sunny but was worried about the wind! But we'll take our chances.

It's frequently windy in the area and the beaches are fairly exposed. Will you have transport?

ps it is a good question if one that is impossible to specifically answer, as we have visited the area many times in late September and haven't been able to stand up on ther beach it was so windy.

We were in a real state on Bologna beach (beautiful) just up the coast on the Costa De La Luz. In the morning it was windy we walked 2 miles to the far in of the beach to get some cover (which was good). We had misjudged the fact that the wind was to our backs. In the afternoon, a snad storm blew up on the beach and we literally had to wade throught the surf to avoid being sand blasted.

Yes we'll have a car. Perhaps we'll look at wind reports as we get closer to the date.

Any suggestions for nearby beaches that aren't frequently windy?

Thanks for the feedback!
