Well what a difference a day can make!! Sunny, warm, no wind. just got back from Buza Bar for one last sunset and it was awesome.
My friend took me to Konavale today to a wonderful resto in Gruda, not far from the touristy Konoba Dvori. It is a family run place and the food is both authentic and inexpensive. I don't have the name with me at the moment, will post later for those who are interested.
The afternoon was spent sitting on the Stradun, soaking up maybe the last warm rays of sun. The street was crowded with ever more tourists, but I didn't care. After being confined to indoors for the last few days it was a welcomed relief.
I know this is not a trip report per se, but for those who have been following along, I want to encourage you to try Croatia, and Dubrovnik. You will not be disappointed.
My heart is sad that I have to leave tomorrow, but I am already planning my return, hopefully in late May/June. If I win the lottery, you can bet that I would be on the first plane here looking for a little flat here in Old Town for maybe 3 months every year.
So adio my Fodor friends!!

I'm so glad you had a beautiful weather day for the last of your visit, Barb! Given that photography was one of my primary interests in Dubrovnik, I'm sure I would have been quite disappointed to be there while it was it cold and rainy! At least you had your share of nice days. That amazing sunset I saw from above the Buza Bar that first night I was there was certainly one of the highlights of my whole trip.
Have a safe trip home! The time will fly and you'll be back there before you know it!

Thanks Andrew! Home now dealing with jet lag and Dubrovnik withdrawals. I am debating about doing a full on trip report as this post did not get much response. Would love to see your photos If you decide to post them. It was great meeting you and maybe our travel paths will cross again some day.

Hey Barb, I'm glad you are 'home' safely.
A trip report, with << Dubrovnik >> in the title will get more 'hits' as that will be what people - now and in the future - will search for - not that many will be searching here using the words Buza Bar!
Anyway, your trip report will most likely also contain useful info about travelling between Gatwick and Heathrow Airports, and doing a whirlwind tour of London in a few hours, also a whirlwind tour of Bath! Plus time spent in Cotswold pubs!!!
PS you have email
Andrew... please post the link to your photos, I'd love to see them too. Keep in touch.

Barb, I am writing a trip report which I may post after all (if it's not too dull) - so if I write one you have to too! I'm finally able to sleep past 5am here and I don't feel like a zombie as much all day - took about a week! The rainy weather hasn't helped...
Julia, I have TONS of pictures - too many! I think I took 7500 pictures in three weeks in Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, BiH, and France. Most of those aren't keepers - but I'm still sorting them! Maybe I can get a few hundred decent ones and post them. Still working on it! A project for the rainy season.
I'll email you a few pics from the evening we met...

Ok, if you do a report, then I will too, and, of course, the England portion of my trip will be mentioned, with info on Heathrow and Gatwick. Woke up this morning at 3:00!!! and felt like I was in a daze for most of the day. I know now to expect this and that it will probably take a week to get my body clock back to normal. The price we pay to travel!
