Bus Eireann Toilet Facilities/Bathroom Breaks
Hi,
My friend and I are departing for our 3 week Irish adventure on Thursday and we're both extremely excited. We're going to be using Bus Eireann to get around the country, but my friend is nervous about the toilet facilities (or lack thereof) on the buses, since she's diabetic and thus has to urinate frequently. We have a couple of long (3 hours or more) trips to make.
Are there generally toilets on the buses, or no? If not, do long distance buses generally stop once or twice to allow for bathroom breaks?
Thanks for any info.

In more than 20-trips I have never been aboard a restroom equipped BusEireann Bus. A Limerick-Dublin bus made a rest stop about halfway along the route; a Balliná (County Mayo)-Dublin didn't. The latter was about a 5-hour run. But I think the ones doing Eurolines routes may be restroom equipped.
The CityLink Bus Dublin-Galway was restroom equipped but when I asked the Driver he said it was for emergencies only (I suspect he had to clean it after each 'run.')
