Where is the best location to stay for easy train access in and out of Paris? We are students so we are trying not to break the bank but do not want to end up in a suspicious area of Paris. Any suggestion would be gladly accepted. Thanks!!

There are many lower cost hotels all over town, many near train stations. It's a bit difficult to respond without knowing which train station you want to be near. Your best bet might be to look around and come bacck with a couple potential places to see if any Fodorites can offer info on them.
