Budapest, Vienna or Prague?
we are two thirty-year old single gals with only 5 solid days to check out one or two of these cities. any recommendations on whch cities to visit and how to divvy up our time? we would leave nyc the friday eve after thanksgiving, essentially getting to one of those cities saturday morning and we would leave there wednesday evening.
we love to eat everything, drink wine and be merry and any insight into which cities have good nightlife would be appreciated as well.
thx in advance!

Budapest is awesome. We went from Enns Austria by train to Budapest, then to Prague. I recommend The Gellert which is an old old hotel, very beautiful. The baths and the swimming pool are open at certain times to the public. They are tiled and breathtakingly beautiful. You just need to ask about the night life places, but be careful at night in any foreign country. Then there is a lot to see in Prague. I would do Budapest and Prague and save Vienna for another time. You are young enough to walk, walk, walk and you can walk to most sites in Prague. The food in the main prague plaza is scrumptious at most any cafe. You'll have a wonderful trip.

Oh come on, girls. Do you expect good advice on what to see in these three great cities? Besides eat, drink and be merry what do you like to do/see? Don't you have flights reserved yet?
We saw what we could last June in B, V, P along with W and K, but there is so much more.

Prague, for sure (just went to all three in September). It's an amazing city. In fact, I probably wouldn't go to one of the other big cities. There is plenty to see in Prague and plenty of night life, and five days isn't really that long (how many nights/real days?). Vienna is perhaps worth an overnight but then you are killing eight hours on a train if you go back and forth, unless you will do the open jaw. Maybe consider a day trip from Prague in the Czech Republic instead, the rest of the time in Prague?
