Thanks Tulips,PalenQ and menachemfor all the wonderful suggestions and advice
We will head to Amsterdam from Antwerp then we will see how we can deal with the day trips.
I have few more questions,
What is the best way to get around Amsterdam and for day trips. Is the OV-chipkaart or a multiday card is the way to go.
If we were to do the day trips such as "Delft, the Hague and Madurodam" can it be done entirely using public transport or we have to do a mix of walks/taxi/bikes etc.
While in Amsterdam apart from the city activities, we want to got to ( not really sure all of these can be done in 4 days)
A'DAM Lookout
Marken, Volendam and Zaanse Schan windmills
Leiden - is there will be any Flower gardens open in Summer if at all with any flowers
Utrecht
For the city, is it better to get a guided tour or we will able to explore ourselves.

All easily done - Delft first then take tram or train to The Hague and trams to Madurodam.

Vjose: I'm planning a trip for next summer to some of the same places you were asking about. How was your trip? Any lessons learned or recommendations? Bases, hotels, transportation tips, or restaurants?

Thanks Andrew. We liked the Cesky Krumlov in CZ very much and it was was worth staying there over night. Hoping that the Bruges will be a similar experience. I dont have much idea about Antwerp other than what i read in these forums.
Thanks PalenQ , I am assuming that the tickets to trains via Kortrijk can be bought at the Lille station. I guess the cost wise Paris- Brussels-Bruges will be similar to Paris-Lille-Kortrijk-Bruges.

Maybe use Gent as a base, not Brugge or Antwerp.

My feeling is that you're trying to cram a lot into your Amsterdam time.

Yes but it depends on what kind of discounted tickets you can get on each - Thalys could be the cheapest via Brussels due to the ABC or All-Belgian-Stations fare where for a few euros you can take any train within 24 hours of your Thalys train's arrival in Brussels to Bruges for just a few euros extra.
Yes can buy Lille-Kortrijk-Bruges tickets in Lille but also I think from www.oui.sncf
