britrail england party pass question

can a family with 2 teenagers aged 20 and 16 travel on a britrail party pass.i read the fine print which says the party should have only adults.does that mean i have to buy 2 adult and 2 youth which costs more?

I can't answer but at least this will top it so someone else might see your question.

But I will ask this - are you sure you want any sort of BritRail Passes? They are very expensive and for many itineraries, just buying point-to-point tickets is a lot cheaper.

Where are you going? When? we might be able to help you work it out better than BritRail.

A 20yr old is an adult, not a teenager any more.

I agree with Janis about BritRail passes in general.

Yes - a 20 yo is an adult on UK trains - however BritRail muddies the water by selling "youth passes for up to age 26. Go figure . . . . .

For the family pass the age is between 5 and 15.
I use the passes on each of my trips, however, I do mostly long distant trips. When I am travelling a short point to point I do buy as I go.
