Borghese Gallery reservations

I have tried 3 times now to get reservations for the Borghese Gallery online. It gets to the place where the bank transaction is to take place and then quits. Nothing else happens. Has anyone else tried to do this lately? I know we have to have reservations, but it doesn't seem to be working. Our time is very short this trip and I don't want to take the time once we get there to make an extra trip to get reservations.

A few years ago I called the number listed on their website. It took less than 5 minutes for the entire process. Good luck!

OK, thanks, Annie. We'll try that when we get to England. Headed out in the morning.

Merry Christmas!

Will you have a Roma Pass? It includes the Borghese, but you must still book a reservation and tell them you are using the pass.

We went into the official site and they call you back to the stays. It takes a few minutes, they take the reservation and then you pay in situ. Very simple

Just returned. I couldn't get thru on the phone either & my hotel was informed of the 2-wk advance reservation.

So I went away, asked if I could be admitted if there were any no-shows @ 10:30 am. Wait til 11 (1 of the official entry times) I was told...at 11 I bought a ticket. I was no doubt lucky being a single as 2 & 4-somes were automatically turned away. So if all else fails, split up and ask to be admitted as singles.

I agree with the others to phone - I have always done so to book. Do so as quickly as possible - especially during the busy holiday season. You will really love it - the audio guide is also worth it, since the stories about how Cardinale Scipione Borghese obtained his art is almost as impressive as the wonderful collection itself. Enjoy!

I contacted the place where we had reservations--Residence di Ripetta--and they made reservations for us. (Wonderful place near Piazza dell Popolo). We went to the Borghese, picked up our tickets. Fabulous place.

We would like to go June 2nd but when I made the call (got right through) they said it was too early and to call back in June. So I guess I'll have to wait till early May just before we leave to call again.
