Border Crossing to Poland

I will be driving from Prague to Krakow in July. Are there certain border crossings which are more hassle free than others? Is there a preferred route?

I am not sure which route we took, but we didn't have any problem with the border crossings. Except going into Hungary from Austria. The other countries---Slovakia, Czech Rep, Germany and Poland were quick and easy.

Krakow is very special. Prague, too.

It won't be the same we used, going from Prague to (near) Jelenia Gora, but that one took no more than about 30-60 seconds. I don't seem to recall any anxiety about not being able to speak Polish, and it didn't feel like an "ordeal" in any sense of the word.

Best wishes,

Rex

Bringing your message back up "to the top" since you are (somewhat) new here - - how did I know that? click on your name - - one valuable tip that Fodors fails to share with you when they send you that initial e-mail, confirming your registration...
