I am looking at booking train tickets on line from Loco2, from Madrid to Bilbao Spain. I've never booked with Loco2 and wondering if I should. Can these tickets indeed be printed at home and take with us? It would be so much easier to have tickets in hand and not worry about going to the train station to buy them. I would imagine they are a little more expensive than buying at the train station, but the convenience factors in. Thank you for any help with my questions.

I used Loco2 for all our Spain train tickets in 2015. Yes, I printed them out and all went perfectly. I found about them through The_Man_in_Seat_Sixty-One.

I have used loco2 for Spain and Italy and never any glitches. I like their website, clear, easy to use, fast.

I like trainline.com better, but they're both totally legit and easy to use. And yes you can print them out. They are not more expensive than buying at the train station, in principle. To get the cheapest tickets from loco or anywhere else, depending on the country or type of train you're taking, you may need to buy 3-6 month in advance.

I used them for last October's trip, had minor problems, but printing was easy.

I've also used Loco2 for three trips to Spain because I couldn't get the Renfe site to work. I was happy with ease of use and ticket cost. I was charged in UK pounds.

I did not use it for tickets from Madrid to Toledo, as these trains depart often. My Madrid hotel was close to Atocha train station, so I just bought these Toledo tickets the day before.
