I have good news and good news. The first bit of good news is that my stepmom is feeling much better so Paris is on!! The other bit of good news is that Dad and stepmom have agreed to the walking tour Sunday afternoon, so barring any flight delays or unforeseen catastrophes, I will be seeing you all in Paris. WOOHOO!! I'll be the one in a long black coat and a grey scarf.

I have to say that someone I know (not TC) who is internet-skeptical (she uses it for information, including travel, but eschews message boards) thinks that there is something weird about strangers 'talking' to each other on any message board, including this one which I mention often.
On the other hand, I feel such warmth from and to so many of you, not to mention the great information that is always available here, that I think the disapproving ones are just missing out.
Thanks to all again for the support and the good wishes.

Where's the meeting point for the Marais walk? I suppose if I look at the link a little longer, I may be able to find out....

I'll file this info just in case.
Thanks.

Just returned from Paris last night. We had a wonderful time but are exhausted. I'm back at work today and am taking a moment to check the board and see what happened to the others on our Marias walk. I was happy to meet P_M and her family but dissapointed not to have met elaine or 111op. Oh well, guess that just gives us an excuse to travel more and plan another! Hope all is well and everyone enjoyed their time in Paris!

Hi, I came back on Monday. Had a lot of fun, but I was on the RER-A at 2:30 (I was on my way back from St-Germain-en-Laye, after visiting Villa Savoye in Poissy).
Well, we can meet in Paris on a future trip.
I'm working on my Paris report -- I've started a blog actually. I hope to give the details when it's ready.
Welcome back, everyone!

I have just arrived from the airport after my Paris adventure, and as I type this my head is spinning w/jet lag. It was great meeting PJI and her husband on the walk. They are a really interesting couple and I envy their ability to live in different parts of Europe. I will be posting a trip report soon, but first I must get some sleep, as I didn't do much of that in Paris. It was a great trip.

Have a ball Elaine! From one drill sergeant to another! Friends say they need a course of vitamins to travel with me, but hey it's never dull. I have had much valuable advice from you in the past and look forward to more great hints very soon.
