Bologna: Three Cooking Schools (from New York Times)

I am not going to post the Times link because I think these are accessible to subscribers only. But on Sunday 30 December the newspaper ran a feature on cooking classes in Bologna.

Here are the three venues they mentioned:

1. Leonardo Iacono. [email protected]. Four hour pasta classes for 30 Euro including a pasta dinner. Italian, but translators can be arranged.

2. Bluone Cooking Tours. One day package with market visit, classes in English and dinner. 150 Euro.
www.bluone.com.

3. A Taste of Italy. Four-hour tortellini classes from 60 Euro are one of many options. Instruction in English, Italian and Spanish. Also offers farm tours and wine tours:

Oh, yes.
I know very well Bluone Cooking Tours, a very nice and clever couple: Marcello and Raffaella.
I will meet them, perhaps, when there is here in Rimini the ice-cream week, at the end of this current month.

Ciao.

Vincenzo

Actually everything in the New York Times is free now. They got rid of their subscription services. Yay!

So read away!

Oh, yes, about "settimana del gelato".
In the exhibit center of Rimini, from Jan 26 to Jan 30 there is a fair whose name is SIGEP (www.sigep.it) that means the event focused on ice-cream, dessert and typical bread, including pizza and piada.
The most important branch, anyway, is the ice-cream and people can taste the best italian gelato and also look at the process to make it.
It is amazing for gelato lovers and it is very interesting for b2b managers since it is the most important European fair focused on ice-cream business.
So, very good gelato for free and alot of clues about the new trends
of gelato.
I will be there on Saturday 26.

Ciao.

Vincenzo

Thanks so much for posting the information. I've sent inquiries about a class when I'm there in April.

Glad you found this useful. I often come across information about cooking schools/classes in Italy and France. Next time I do, I will start a master thread.

Please let us know if you do decide to take one of these classes!
