Have a great time.... and can I ask you how I can find out if I qualify for a "low cost" SENA bus fare of 10Euros from Roma to Siena before buying it online? Do you buy important transportation legs of your journey online ahead of time, and Borghese Gallery Reservs, etc too? Thanks for any advice - anyone who's been there 17 times seems like a sage to me!
My daughter and I leave in two+ weeks for Rome, then Florence mixed with several Tuscan towns - including Montepulciano! I'm looking forward to learning this site well and seeing your previous posts from all those trips!

Have a wonderful trip! I understand completely...my 8th trip to Italy is in the fall. I am just that much in love.
Kwren - Osteria Acquacheta is my favorite restaurant in Montepulciano. Great food, raucous setting, crazy (in a good way) owner, completely fun!

JenV - I'm so glad you wrote that! I happened to come across that restaurant in a book or online or who knows where, without a recommendation, and thought it sounded great. We love steak so it was a done deal once I saw it. We're actually staying in Montepulciano one night to be able to walk there (and also because one of the Twilight books was filmed there and my daughter thought it would be cool to stay there!) The owner does look crazy and we can't wait to meet him!!! Thanks for the comment!
