Bid on 5 star in Mayfair, London

If I go to priceline.com and ask for a 5 star in Mayfair, what do you think I will get for a $350 bid.

Do you have a suggestion to help me-
OR
If you had to choose one for value/guarantee to enjoy which of the following?
the Covent Garden Hotel
Melia White House
Rennaissance London Chancery (may be booked for 9/11-15
The Connaught (a little on the high end but do-able)
The Rubens (seems popular but opinions show rude staff and bad views)
The Millennium Mayfair
The Egerton House (no info on expedia, travelocity etc)
OR??
Thank you

Have you considered the Chesterfield Mayfair? It is run by the Red Carnation Hotel group that also runs the Rubens, 41, and a couple other very nice hotels. We stayed there in June of 2005 for 4 nights and it is a very pretty, very friendly, very English style hotel. Excellent concierge and front desk people. We just stayed at the Rubens (June of 2006) and it is not the same type of experience since it is much larger and on a very busy corner. Just wanted to give you another option in Mayfair. Good luck!

Have you checked betterbidding.com for recent bids?

I'd post this question on thgat site if I were you. Not as heavily trafficked as this board but the few responses are generally quite helpful.

I'd be very surprised if you got the Covent Garden hotel on Priceline no matter what you bid.

Don't do a $350 bid. Most likely you'll just get one of the standard 5* hotels on offer, but you will have grossly overpaid. As mentioned, check out betterbidding.com .

Two of the hotels you mentioned come up as 4* hotels now and then on Priceline: Melia White House (in the Bloomsbury zone) and Millennium Mayfair (in the Mayfair zone). The rates for these, when they occasionally show up, are generally in the $100-120 range. But there's no guarantee either hotel would come up for your date, and if you bid for a 5* hotel, you couldn't possibly get them anyway.
