BEST WAY TO YORK

I'm looking for the easiest train access to York from either Manchester or London. Does either airport have a direct line from the airport to York or must one leave the airport and go across town to a train station? Thanks

I believe the trains to York leave from Kings Cross station. It's an easy trip.

There are hourly direct trains from Manchester Airport to York. See www.qjump.co.uk for times and fares

Manchester is nearer and serves York with local trains in about 2 hours (no restaurant etc) London (assume you mean Heathrow) would require a tube into town up to Kings Cross then an express train with more creature comforts, total journey time at least three hours.
