We will be in Ljubljana for a few days then want to make our way to St. Moritz to ride the Glacier Express. We don't want to spend any time in St. Moritz sight seeing. We just want to arrive the night before we ride the Glac. Express. We also don't want to take an overnight train or spend the entire day before we ride the Glac. Exp. travelling. So we know we would be able to spend a day/night somewhere in the Dolomites to break up the long travel, but didn't know if there is some fast train out there that I just couldn't find.

I have looked into staying in Castelrotto or Bolzano and getting to Tirano to take the Berinana Train to St. Moritz. But, is there a train from Castelrotto or Bolzano to Tirano? Or is the bus the fastest way?
