Best View Hotel in Berner Oberland
Hello Berner Oberland fans,
I have researched quite a bit but have not found a hotel with FULL FRONTAL view of Eiger-Monch-Junfrau from room in any town like Murren etc. Any suggestions?

To see all three, Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau at once, you would have to be in just the right spot. If that's not Mürren, I don't know where that would be. Neopolitan is correct; you can get awesome views of the Eiger from Grindelwald, as well as other peaks such as the Fiescherhorn (which is higher than the Eiger), but the Monch and Jungfrau are hidden behind the Eiger. Maybe from Wengen? Perhaps someone can say: we haven't been there yet.

I can think of many hotels which would have full views of all three mountains, your web serach may not be showing pictures correctly. Some to consider are:
In Murren
Hotel Eiger at Hoteleiger.com
In Wengen
Caprice at www.caprice-wengen.ch
Silberhorn at www.silberhorn.ch
Beausite Park at http://www.parkwengen.ch

Enzian,
From photos I have seen, view from Murren does not seem to be a FULL FRONTAL one but an angle view. Is your experience different?
Cicerone,
I have seen those websites; but none of them show a photo from room/balcony with a FULL FRONTAL view of ALL the THREE.

Well I have stayed in all those hotels, and I can tell you that they DO have full frontal views of all three mountains. If you want room numbers, let me know.
To be pedantic, you obviously aren't going to get a full frontal view of each mountain at once, as they are slightly at an angle to each other, and are not linear stuructures but curved mountains; but the views from these hotels are excellent, unobstructed and make great photographs. Don't obsess too much about it, there are many other venues from which to get good views and photos.

I agree with Cicerone. There is no ideal place to view all of them at once.
They do angle. I have pictures of the 3, but the individuals are very distincting. So, move around a bit and get the best view of each one in turn.
I am not sure what the best view would consist of anyhow.
For the Eiger, the view from First is panoramic, but the view from the Eigergletscher Wanderweg is incredible because you are looking up toward the peak from the base and that north wall is intimidating.
Now tell me, which view is the best?
I think there are other views in that part of the Bernese Alps that surpass those 3 anyhow. Try peaks like the Fensteraarhorn, the Schreckhorn, and the
Fiescherhorn for the inner world of glacial ice.
As my high school history teacher used to say to the clas, you are straining at a gnat and trying to swallow a camel.

Okay, let me reframe my question giving some perspective. Say there is a member in my team who isn't fit enough to hike anymore but likes the mountains equally. Can this individual be in the hotel room and view most of the snow peaks that the rest of us will enjoy during our hikes?
What town and what hotel would be the answer? And what snow peaks?

You might to like to take a look at the follwings.

Above is Eiger and Mönch seen from a street of Murren (alt.1600m). Unfortunately Jungfrau is hidden behind the huge rock on the right. Your friend does not have to stay in the hotel but at least he/she can stroll around the tiny village of Murren with such view, can't he?

If you take the cable car from Murren to Schilthorn (alt.2900 m), up there all the mountains are for you to see. No obstacles. On the guy's left is Eiger, Mönch behind him and Jungrau on the right. I believe Allmendhubel (reached by funicular from Murren - alt.1912m) is also high enough to see them witout obstacle.
When I'm in Grindelwald, I have the impression I can see Eiger but the the others are at least partly hidden bihind it because of the angle.
Full Frontal view of Eiger-Mönch-Junfrau, you can get from Klenescheidegg, not at the bottom where the train station is but when up on the hill on the other side from the 3 mountains. That's a wide frontal view. Also from the top of First (reached by Cable cabis from Grindelwald), you can see pretty much of those 3 + a lot more.
I realize I have not answered your question. Perhaps no hotel has a "perfect" view of the 3 mountains together ?

Thank you very much; all of yous. I now am much clearer on the subject.
Here is my present dilemma:
Based on reviews in this site and tripadvisor site I am torn between Murren Alpina/Edelweiss (for views) or Murren Alpenruh (proximity to Gondola).
I realize that views from Alpina/Edelweiss in late summer include a Huge black rocky mountain right on the face (and possibly a partial view of Eiger behind it)plus magnificient Breithorn and a string other snow peaks along with the beautiful wide valley below.
Alpenruh seems to exclude the valley from the above list but add a partial view of Monch.
Is that a fair understanding?
