Best View for Lunch in London

We loved going to the Cafe at the Tate Modern for lunch in London.
Spectacular view! I understand that it is closed for some renovations.
Does anyone have any good suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

Reopening in June after extensive renovation, the National Portrait Gallery has a restaurant on the fourth floor that offers views of Trafalgar Square and beyond. New menu is not yet available but, in the past, we liked going there for the prix fixe lunch.

Where did you hear the cafe at the Tate Modern is closed? It appears to be open on the website.

The restaurant that opened in the newer building (on the 6th floor) was closed for awhile but it looks like it reopened. I’ve only been in the bar part there which has fantastic views but I’m not sure what the dining room is like. https://www.tate.org.uk/visit/tate-m...itchen-and-bar

Can thoroughly recommend Le Pont de la Tour. It's right on the riverbank next to Tower Bridge. The view of the bridge and river are great as is the people watching and equally importantly, so is the food. We never go to London without eating there, but if you want to eat at an outside table, weather permitting, then as far as I remember you can't book, just turn up early in the service.

Perhaps the OP was confusing the Tate Modern with the Portrait Restaurant in the National Portrait Gallery being closed?? The Gallery and restaurant re-open in June.
