Poipu Kauai Condo: Ocean view,view,view
Looking into Poipu Kai, which looked humongous, so that some locations definitely will not have good ocean views, How about Poipu Shores??? My ideal Poipu condo would be: one with unobstructed view of the beach, with access to the beach, sandy beach preferrable. Luxurious would be an added bonus, can anyone help???

Whalers Cove sounds like it might fit the bill. We stayed in building 1 on the 2nd floor. Beautiful condo inside and out. beautiful pool. Right on the ocean with nothing between you and the view. Our pictures from the lanai are amazing. We booked through suite paradise for a lower rate or you might try contacting the facility directly.

I've stayed at Kuhio Shores condos in Poipu. Absolutely fabulous unobstructed ocean view (especially in the corner unit we rented), but it wasn't particularly luxurious. I think most of the units are individually owned, so others might be more luxuriously appointed. We found it on VRBO.com

check out the website kiahunaplantation.com. They have the best condos available at the property and will confirm a specific unit. Some are quite luxurious and all are ocean view. If you book Kiahuna any other way you don't have the options (we do this every year!).

We stayed at Poipu Kai (the Sands section) and had a partial ocean view within a short walk to Shipwreck beach (sandy but non-swimmable). Building #5 in that section has very open ocean/beach views.
We also stayed at Puu Poa in Princeville and had a super view of the ocean and Bali Hai (but you have to walk down the cliff to get to the beach). That condo was definitely more upscale than the Poipu Kai one.
