Hi trying to figure out the best route from Vernazza to venice for this coming June.
Also would like to know if there are weekly passes for trains for travelling from Santa Margherita to all five CT villages?

Vernazza to Venice isn't easy and require multiple train changes. Travel time is about 6 hours.

No train passes, but the tickets between the towns is just a few euro (be sure to validate before boarding).

6 to 8 hrs, according to itinerary.
Fares:
via Pontremolese - Bologna: 57 EUR
via Milano: 65 EUR
via Florence: 59 EUR
via Pontremolese - Mantova: 28 EUR

The easiest is the route vis Milan with only two changes. Take the regional train north to Monterosso. Change to the IC train that goes to Milan with no changes. Msuper Economy fare for this train is 9€. At Milan change to the ES train for Venice Santa Lucia. MSuper Economy fare for this train is 19 €. So apart from the cheap train fron Vernazza to Monterosso, you can do this for 28€ total.

These fare are available now for travel in early June, but you must buy in advance as the Super Economy fares sell out. ares for travel after June 8 have not be posted by Trenitalia yet, so keep checking.

There are two versions of the Cinque Terre Card. One is a pass for the hiking trails only. The other is a pass that includes both the hiking trails and the trains. There are one- and two-day options for both cards.

Thank you everyone for your replies. Our trip in on June 19th so the schedule will be changed by then. I have a hard time checking the train schedule on their website, how do you excatly find all the schedules for the hours of day?
Do you think it would be too late to buy the tickets on June 16th, that's when we arrive in Milan and can buy our return tickets from Vernazza to Venice.
We are looking for the least connections even if it's more expensive, any sugestions?

The semi-annual train timetable updates will go into effect throughout Europe on 9 June. Trenitalia is always slow to upload their new timetables. Enter a date prior to 9 June to see the current schedules. The new ones are likely to vary by only a few minutes, if at all.

You certainly can wait to buy tickets when you arrive in Milan, but you'll pay full fare. If you want tp get Super Economy fares, keep checking the Trenitalia site every few days and book as soon as the new schedules appear. Be aware that those tickets are non-exchangeable and non-returnable so be sure you can commit before booking.

The tickets for trains along the coast between the CT towns don't need to be bought in advance and there are more restrictions on the tickets if you do. They are mostly R trains, no reserved seating and can't sell out.
