>Is Germany just a casual jean kindof place ?
Walking totally naked in the street would be inappropriate as well as only wearing underwear. ;-) Other than that people couldn't care less, (unless you're a Hollywood star or royalty).

Hi Jersey,
For the past few years, we've had cool and rainy end April/early May weather. Personally, I would advise the end of May/beg. of June for travelling in Southern Germany if I could choose. The flowers are beginning to bloom in the mountains and the weather is a bit warmer and drier.

We visited germany this year , from May 28 till may 15. only the first two day was colder, after this we had a very good weather, sunny, no rain at all. All the trees in bloom, a lot of flowers, not too hot and not cold, long days. it was perfect!

I believe the Lufthansa two for one is also good because you can reserve a seat, which they will hold, until you get a VIN number.
(also researching this, and this was also my question - better time to go, May or June?)
