Sorry, I meant to also suggest that you check out alternate cities to fly out of e.g. Toronto to Paris as Zoom & Air Transat are discount airlines.Or check out a cheap flight to NYC & what's available to Paris from there.

Timing is everything and in this case, the timing of your trip is critical. If you are looking at $850 r/t from Buffalo in the middle of July with all taxes included, I would tell you to lock in right now. If you're going in early March, then that's not a good fare at all.
