Hi
I haven't checked their current rates, but the Hotel d'Aubusson is a lovely 4 star hotel on rue Dauphine, a short stroll to Pont Neuf.

I'm keen on the Relais du Louvre, 3* -
1 block from the Seine on the Right Bank

I believe the doubles are about 150-175 E's...

We love the Artus on Rue de Buci. A large double is 235E w/breakfast.

Hotel Le Verneuil @ www.hotelverneuil.com

Everyone has his/her opinions as to what is 'the best hotel' but what are your criteria?

There are a number of excellent hotels that fit your request, it all depends on what type of hotel you're looking for and when you are planning on being in Paris, high season or low, and just where along the Seine you want to be.

You may want to check out the following web sites to get a little more information on just what is available and where. You'll find a lot of good choices.

Also, try Luxurylink.com to see if there are auctions for Parisian hotels that will work out to $350 or less. We leave tomorrow for 6 nights, and I won an auction for a Junior Suite at the Hotel Raphael that worked out to right at $350/night (with daily breakfast, champagne, and one dinner in the hotel's restaurant). Rack rate was over twice my winning bid.

To make it work, you should contact any hotel prior to bidding, to make sure that they have availability on your travel dates, but if they do, you should seriously consider bidding.
