I love St P in Montorio for its commanding view of Rome fom the Gianicolo hill, the church was supposedly built on the site of Saint Peter's crucifixion but I think more than one site lays claim to that event. I thought the Tempietto charming.
Here's a tid bit I picked up, Gianicolo Hill's name comes from the Latin Janu Coeli, "Portal of Heaven".
