best ear plugs for airline and sleeping
Well it's finally happened. After all these years of travel I have become a restless and light sleeper. Need ear plugs for the airline and for sleeping in noisy Europe. since I like the action, I'd do ear plugs before I move to quiet locations in major European cities. any recommendations for the best ear plugs????

The soft, silly putty kind.
You can mold these to your inner ears and they are much better than any of the other kinds IMHO. Much better at blocking out sound because you can fiddle around with them until they rest snugly in your ears.
I got mine at Walgreens (came in a box of four little balls), carry them with me everywhere, but have used them only infrequently.

For some reason, I found Quies very uncomfortable. After an automobile accident, I had nerve damage to one ear (airbag related; ears don't like something going off at 170 db right next to them) and had to wear an earplug in one ear for a long period of time. Anyway, I found the foam ones to be more comfortable and pretty good at blocking out noise.
Try a couple different brands, both foam and wax (they're all pretty cheap) and see which is most comfortable for you.
