Best/cheapest way to Normandy
We will be staying in London (Kensington)and I need to find out what the cheapest way is to get to Normandy. Does anyone know what the closest port is to Normandy? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Le Havre is right at the eastern end of the part of Normandy that most people visit. A ferry from Portsmouth will get you there. Southern Railway will sell you a DaySave ticket for £10.
To get to the beaches, look into www.busverts.fr for their Le Havre-Caen ticket.

Ferries from Portsmouth go to both Cherbourg and Caen. There is a fast ferry that takes just under 4 hours, or an overnight ferry that takes 7.
