best b&b under $100U.S. in Flo, Rome & Venice?

Hi we are travelling on a budget and we'd like your opinion on what are the best B&B's in Rome, Florence & Venice for under $100? I know it's hard, but I'm sure they are out there. I want to be in a safe area and walking distance to all, with friendly staff.

Here are some recent threads with lots of suggestions that are more or less in your price range to get you started:

Florence: http://www.fodors.com/forums/threads...p;tid=34488068

Venice: http://www.fodors.com/forums/threads...p;tid=34484607

Rome:

To find others, type "cityname AND hotel AND budget" into the text box at the top of this page. You should be able to save a bit in Florence and may need to spend a little more in Rome in order to be in a central location other than Termini.

Hi meesa,
I stayed 4 nights at Soggiorno Battisrero B&B in Florence last December. It should be around 100 a night. Killer location (Piazza San Giovanni) but 60+ steps to climb. Great staff and super safe area.

View of the front of the Duomo from your window.

I am staying at the Hotel Olimpia in Florence. It is not a b&b, but I am only paying around 80euro per night.

Thanks, Ira! I try.

And find that people are more open to the suggestion that a search will in fact turn up loads of useful information if you give them a couple of examples....
