I would think that one's view of a country's cuisine could be tainted by having chosen the wrong restaurants. I've had really good food and really bad food in just about every country I have been to, and I think that's mostly just about the luck of the restaurant draw. I can't really say that I don't like Irish food just because I picked a few not-so-good places to eat.

Now with that being said, I am a very picky eater (unfortunately) so my idea of a good meal would probably most definitely not appeal to a foodie. Just based on my own experiences, I liked German and Bosnian food the best and Belgian the least.

I was actually being quite serious.
I bet that if you asked the same question of a Spaniard/Italian/Briton or whoever, you might very different answers.

If you asked a similar question of an Indian or Chinese person in relation to the US, no doubt their opinion would be different from that of a German or Italian.

Of course different cultures will have different views on the "best" food. What is your point? We all knew that. you found it necessary to make some reference to the fact that the majority of respondents were American . So what?

If you don't like the demographics don't participate.

Excluding potential language barriers, there's no reason a Spaniard or German can't participate in this conversation. If a Dane thinks the worst food culture is in Country X and the best is in Country Y, she is free to offer her opinion.
