Beauvais Airport Shuttle
I am trying to decide which shuttle service to take from Paris to Beauvais airport. Our flight leaves at ~8am, so we will have to leave fairly early. I've looked into the shuttle that leaves Port Maillot :

and also a shuttle that will pick up at our hotel (costs a little bit more but may be more convenient as we are staying in the Latin Quarter):

Has anyone used either of these services & are they quite reliable?? Which do you recommend? Thanks!

The shuttle that leaves from Porte Maillot has been around for a long time and the schedule is coordinated to get you to Beauvais in time for every departing flight. The first shuttle leaves at 05:45. Go here for more information: http://tinyurl.com/mv4nm.
All I know about the second shuttle is that it is a new door-to-door service.

We took Airport Connection to Beauvais. It cost 140€ for 4 of us. I'm not sure whether to recommend them or not. They were on time and very convenient (large, clean mini-van, picked us up right at the apartment) but the young driver dozed off (briefly) while driving! I yelled and he snapped up and acted like nothing had happened. Well, it scared the hell out of me! Anyway, if you get a better driver it should be fine.
*sigh* I always think the scariest part of every trip is getting to the airport and back.

Tim - that link is very helpful. We are most likely going to go with this shuttle - it seems Ryanair has the same flights daily (going to Milan). I just needed a bit of reassurance to know this shuttle is OK! Thanks!

Four of us flew to Rome for $376 (including all ground transportation). Considering it was extremely convenient, direct, and a very simple airport (no other flights!) I thought it was great.
It is, however, a very early flight, and we were a long ways away from Port Maillot. The good thing is we had almost a full day in Rome!
