Beautiful Gardens Near Rome?

My husband remembers years ago visiting some lovely gardens somewhere outside of Rome but can not remember the name of them. Does anyone know where these gardens might be?

Thanks!

Tivoli Gardens, about 20 kms from Rome. Nearby Hadrian's Villa also worth a visit.

IF the main feature of the gardensw as awter features and fountains then I would agree with Villa d'Este/Tivoli.

Another possibility is the Gardens of Ninfa, about 40 miles SE of Rome...

If the refernced gardens aren't the right ones and even if they are, you should look at this website:

http://www.gardenvisit.com/

If you click on "Garden Finder" you will find an abundance of information - not just Italy but everywhere. If I remember, there was none referenced for Antartica.

I knew this was the place to ask! My husband thinks they were the Tivoli Gardens.

Thanks very much.

Ohh, the pictures look wonderful. It looks like we'll have to add this to our ever-lengthening list.

Thanks Steve!

Tivoli Gardens is great fun -- we sort of imagined the owner was in constant competition with neighbors and kept saying: OK, top THIS one.....
