Bastille Day in the Basque country?

Hello,

We will be in Saint-Jean-De-Luz from July 11-15, 2019. I'm wondering if things (tourist sites, stores, restaurants) will be open on Bastille Day? Would that be a good day to go to the beach instead? We are also thinking about going to Hondarribia for the day. Would it be equally busy there? I know there are some Basque festivals on the Spanish side but I assume they are more around Pamplona?

We could be back in time for the fireworks that night in SJDL.

Thank you!

Since 14 July falls on Sunday this year, a lot of towns will have their fireworks on the 13th.

Thanks, Kerouac. We were going to be in SJDL on the Saturday night in any event because we wanted to check out the "Fete du Thon". So fireworks would just be a bonus on top of that! Do you know if things would be closed on Sunday the 14th?

Basically, when a holiday falls on a Sunday, it doesn't change much from a "normal" Sunday.
