Bari to Dubrovnik ferry......HELP

We are wanting to book the ferry from Bari in Italy to Dubrovnic in Croatia. We are two couples with two cars, hoping to travel Wednesday 13 October.

Its a little confusing, so many websites, also it appears so many ferries to chose from and our travel agent can't do this part for us. We are presuming it would be handy to have this booked before we leave Australia.

Thanks in advance for any help.

There are only two companies operating from Bari to Dubrovik, Azzurra Line and Jadrolinija, but Azzurra Line doesn't run in October.

Sailings in October will not be busy, so you should be able to get tickets at the port. Jadrolinija's agents in Bari are Lorusso (www.agenzialorusso.com).

Thanks Geoffhammer (for both replies )

If Azzura doesn't sail in Oct thats easy, I'll use Jadrolinija.

I think we'd rather organise before we leave home, we leave at the end of July for 3.5months in Europe, so if its not going to change the price dramatically I think we'll do it now.

Just to clarify should I book through www.jadrolinija.hr or www.agenzialorusso.com.

Thanks again, very helpful and just what I needed.

I'm sorry I have no exoerience of booking Bari-Dubrovnik online. I booked an Ancona-Split sailing online once via Jadrolinija's Ancona agents, and the procedure was very simple, but I have no experience of the agents in Bari.

You can reserve and buy your tickets through www.jadrolinija.hr.

The procedure is simple and you have to buy passage for your car and for yourself. We have done this crossing twice in the last three years, booking a room for the overnight each time. First time we booked through an agency in England and paid in euros but now it can be done through Jadrolinija's web page and payment is in kunas (better exchange rate!). Have anice trip!
