Hotel Claris (my favourite) if you want to splurge a little, Hotel Pulitzer or Hotel Jazz. You also have Hotel Arts but the location isn't central and IMO it's too big for a hotel, I like smaller ones.

Bonjour,

My dh and I spent 3 wonderful days at the very pleasant hotel "Duquesa de Cardona" which is located on the Paseo Colon, in front of the harbour, close to the Ramblas, and on the edge of the Gothic district. The hotel is quite calm, choose a room with a view on to the little streets behind to have less noise. Finding a hotel where one can really sleep in a quiet environment is "a bit" difficult in Barcelona since people there seem to never feel like going to bed And we did like them since it was so pleasant walking at night, having a drink, even having dinner around 1 pm and later, lol ! Here is the address of the hotel where we'll return if we can one day :

Hotel Duquesa de Cardona 12
08002 BARCELONA SPAIN
Tel : 93 268 90 90
Email : [email protected]
Hotel web site :

http://www.hduquesadecardona.com/home.php

You'll find reports and info in English about the hotel on these web sites :

http://www.barcelona-tourist-guide.c...e-cardona.html

Voilà ! Adios ! Marie (Normandy, France)

Hmm, sorry for my typo... One must read one can still have dinner around 10 pm, but better make a reservation when feeling having dinner at "Agut", Caller d'en Gignas, 16 (that's what I did, in Spanish. Phone number : 93 315 17 09) or at "My Burrito y yo", Pas del Ensenyança,2 (93 318 27 42) for instance...

Now, I've checked the 2 links I gave and seen the first link corresponds to info in French, and the second link doesn't work.

So here is a link which can help you to have more info in English :

http://en.venere.com/hotels_barcelon...e_cardona.html

Cordialement. Marie (Normandy, France)
