Hi Guys ,

Just came back after a wonderful Holiday to India . Me and wife are planning to go to Spain ( mainland ) in January for 10 days and the first stop would be Barcelona
Wondering if anyone could recommend good hotels around GBP 30-50
Forums have always helped us find the right place and we would be glad to share our experiences in India if anyone wants to know

I can recommend the Hotel Continental which at $85 last March would be in your price range. Very well located right on Las Ramblas so walkable to most everything.

Hotel Florida. It is the highest point in Barcelona. I could see the tops of cell phone towers. The drive gave me the heebee jeevees, but well worth it. Very cool

they have a wide range to check out. if you want something special, you might want to ry out staying ata parador, although it may mean you'd have to hire a car as they're usually a wee bit out of town, but they are really nice.

We just stayed at Hotel Jardi and had a great stay in Barcelona. Definitely get an exterior room on an upper floor with a balcony. It's not luxury accomodations by any stretch of the imagination, but it's on a cute square in a great location and for 98 Euro per night, it was absolutely perfect for our weekend getaway. http://www.hoteljardi-barcelona.com/

The Hot Asplis Splendid was great and certainly well located while there in early May.
