Barcelona Gothic Cathedral: Under Scaffolding?

I have heard the gothich cathedral is under scaffolding. Does anyone know if this IS the case or not? And, if so, how long that is expected to last?

Thanks in advance.

When we were there last April there was scaffolding covering the front of the cathedral, but I don't know how long the work was expected to go on.

Thanks for that feedback. The reason I am interested is the fact that we have stayed at the Hotel Colon in a room with great views of the cathedral in the past and would consider doing so again during our upcoming July trip. However, I am not certain I would be willing to pay the money to stay there if the cathedral were still under scaffolding.

intrepid1,
We were in the same situation-- we had reserved one of the rooms at the Hotel Colon with a terrace overlooking the cathedral, and we ended up cancelling it and staying somewhere else .
