Barcelona Apartment - Vacation
We are thinking of renting the following apartment in Barcelona for two weeks. Wondering if anyone has stayed here and opinions on the area. Our plan is for May 2017 - thinking it will be less busy and able to enjoy the city. Also looking for suggestions on day trips from Barcelona to see some other parts of Spain
Any opinions and suggestions would be appreciated

Less busy is a matter of degree - Barcelona gets tourists all year.
That said, the location is very decent. My rule of thumb is stay in the box formed by the Diagonal, Tetuan, Universitat/Catalunya, and Verdaguer metro stops. You hit that mark.

Sorry to be a breaker of bad news but this apartment could be illegal.
The law states that every property registered for letting as a vacation rental should show it's registration number in any advertisement.
Read this information in TA https://www.tripadvisor.com/Travel-g...Barcelona.html
A recent crack down on illegal renting has meant a lot have lost their place to sleep in their forthcoming vacation.

Take ribeira's remarks into consideration, but apart from that, an excellent part of town. Upscale, modern and local atmosphere, and close to "everything". http://www.oh-barcelona.com/en/barce...ixample-dreta/
I use to stay in the close by, medieval and vibrant Born district, also well worth a visit: http://www.barcelona-life.com/barcelona/born

That's a good area, not too far from a metro. Apt looks great.
I don't know what ribeiracasa is talking about, it gives a city registration number right under the "location" photo on the right side. That's where it always is listed on the apts on that agency's website.
