Same for me : I hate guided tours, but took the one at Sagrada Familia. And was super happy I had taken it - there is simply so much behind everything that a guide will enhance your experience immensely.

In hindsight, I wish we had taken a taxi to Parc Guell. We took a bus there but got off at the wrong stop. We took the metro back which felt like a very long walk in the heat.

FYI to all...

Just bought tix to Sagrada Familia at their site.

Warning...they ask if you want to pay in dollars (rather than Euros).

Thanks to Fordoirtes advice (on many posts), I knew to never do that.

I immediately checked my credit card account, and the conversion rate was only $0.004 above the rate that came in when I did a currency exchange query.
