Barb and Seaurchin Going to Roma! Watch out Roma!!
Barb and I have been corresponding almost daily for a few years now after meeting here on Fodors. One day we were writing that someday it would be nice to meet in person over a glass of vino sooooo we are going to.....in Rome!
Barb had tentative plans to go to Rome in March and she was tempting me with all of her plans so I looked up flights, found a great one, looked up apartments, found a great one that she recommended and booked them both. She booked her air and apartment too and now we are both going to give Roma a taste of two Fodorites running amok.
Isn't it nice that Travel Talk can lead to such interesting friendships and good times?!!

Can you imagine all the fun two blondes footloose in Rome will have. Our apts are both in Trastevere - SeaUrchin and Seashell are staying in the one I stayed in in Oct. and it's wonderful - Luce Split Level through RealRome - I have many fond memories of that apt. one night in particular - wink wink.... I'm staying in the Santa Maria through RealRome - it's smaller, but it's all I really need for one person. Anyhoo, we've got 2-1/2 months to plan our fabulous adventure!! How exciting to finally meet after 3+ yrs. of emailing.

GTG?? YES !!! I was in Rome last year during Easter, and I have made plans to be there again this year. Once again, my loving wife of nearly 35 years isn't going with me. Last year, she was getting ready for knee surgery (done AFTER I got home), and this year she's going to visit her Dad in Connecticut. My travel dates in Rome are March 18-29 after being in Venice for a week. I'm NOT blond, but I could wear a wig. A very nice GTG restaurant is ORSO 80 near Piazza Navona (put Orso 80 in the search section). What Do You All Think? Mike

Mike: I love Orso 80 ristorante, I have been going there since 1999. I will be in Italy again in the spring (March 23-April 14), however up in Liguria. Maybe I could venture down south to Roma and join up with you all for dinner.....are brunettes allowed?

Of course, blonds, bombshells, brunettes and wigsters are allowed and welcomed. We will be passing out Clairol samples at the door.
Actually we were thinking of throwing a party on the 19th at our apartment, inviting anyone we may have met or know in Rome or on Fodors.
Who is bringing the prosecco?

Clairol??? No world-traveling, discerning woman of taste would ever color her hair with the do-it-yourself brassy flaxen. Who wants Home Depot Hair?
