Baggage storage in Positano??
Will be taking a daytrip there early morning from Ravello, then moving on in the evening. Would like somewhere to store my bags (1 small tote & 1 22" carry-on) for the day, without having to go back to Ravello. Thank you for any ideas.

Hi Fremont,
I've been trying to think of what I would do, and all I can think of is to ask the folks at your Ravello hotel if they can arrange for you to drop off your bags at a hotel in Positano.

The last idea is a good one. Positano is a clean and friendly little town.
See if your Ravello hotel can contact one in Positano, lock the bags, and be sure to give the belldesk a nice tip for their attention. Small bags like that would require about $5-$10, cheaper than replacing the contents. NEVER LEAVE BAGS IN ANY PART OF YOUR CAR WHEN YOU ARE NOT IN IT...ANYWHERE!!!!!!!

Good idea, Ira, thanks! I'll be taking the bus, so it would be great to just have the hotel transfer the 2 small bags for the day to another hotel. I would absolutely tip all involved.

The "hotel as bailee" idea is a good one, but probably won't work unless there is a really good relationship between the Ravello hotel and the Positano hotel. Hotels are in the business of renting rooms, not being a temporary custodian of transient luggage. Don't be surprised if there are no takers.
