Positano or Ravello?
Hi there,
During our 12-day stay in Italy, my husband and I will spend 4 nights on the Amalfi Coast--2 nights in Capri and two somewhere else. Does anyone have a preference for either Positano or Ravello? Thanks!!

I'm surprised you haven't received any comment on your post, so I'll give you my $.02. Positano is larger and on the main road connecting Sorrento with Salerno so its more active. Ravello is much more remote and quieter. Both are charming.

Depends on what you want-RAvello is tiny, up a cliff (therefore not on the water) but definately beautiful. Positano is on the water, bigger and more centrally located to the rest of the A.C. If it makes a difference you can easily visit Ravello by bus from Positano.

Palazzo Murat in Positano is very nice, however the city is small but lively at night. Ravello is very quiet but there hotel is quite nice. Ravello had Maria for pottery and Mamas restorante. Positano can be reached from Capri by boat and then you could get a driver for up the coast to Ravello and Amalfifrom there.
The host at Palazzo Murat can get you a driver. We had Luigi also a policeman.
